Heidi Strickler, MS RD CSSD Registered Sports Dietitian

Heidi is a Registered Sports Dietitian (RD/RDN), Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), and Metabolic Efficiency Training Specialist (METS), with a Master’s in Sports Nutrition (MSc) from Liverpool John Moores University in England.  Her ultimate goal as a Registered Sports Dietitian is to empower her clients and athletes to realize their greatest potential, achieve their goals, and thrive in both sport and in life, by providing the necessary support, education, and tools to do so.

She believes that all foods fit, and does not believe in diets, or that one style of eating is suited for everyone. While food is important fuel for the activities we love, Heidi reminds us that we eat for so many reasons besides just fueling up. It is this dual mentality, and her own history as an athlete with an eating disorder, that guides Heidi's practice in helping her clients rediscover food freedom and detach the idea that we earn food through exercise or that certain foods need to be avoided.

Finally, Heidi is also a competitive endurance athlete herself. It is her wide experience in the athletic world - from collegiate soccer to ultra-distance trail running to IronMans to snowshoe racing - that gives her a realistic perspective and understanding that nutrition is individual. Sometimes there is a large gap between lab-based sport nutrition recommendations and practical application. It is her goal to close this gap, and translate science to success for each of her athletes.

Heidi specializes in:  Endurance athletes Female-bodied athletes  Plant-based athletes RED-S, Low Energy Availability, Amenorrhea and disordered eating
