Join us in person this June in Naperville, Illinois for our Chicago Area Wildwood Running Clinic! We are excited to bring coaches and athletes together to continue our journey to empower the young female distance runner! Summer is the perfect time to regroup and add to your toolkit. Wildwood Running is set to bring experts in mental health, nutrition, positive mindset, and female physiology and more together for a one day coaches clinic followed by a one day athlete clinic. We will learn, reflect and build our expertise together!
LOCATION: The clinic will take place at: Held at Meiley-Swallow Hall North Central College 31 S. Ellsworth Street Naperville, Illinois
PARKING : Parking can be found in neigborhood parking & downtown garage parking. Visitors should follow all city, campus restrictions, etc.

Tickets: Coaches: $75 until June 1st ($85 after) // Athletes: $75

Scholarships available upon request. We have three full price scholarships available for athletes. Send an email to marie@wildwoodrunning.com as to why you or your athlete should be considered for the scholarship. We can also support partial scholarships. Just reach out to us.

Heidi is a Registered Sports Dietitian (RD/RDN), Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), and Metabolic Efficiency Training Specialist (METS), with a Master’s in Sports Nutrition (MSc) from Liverpool John Moores University in England.
Dan Iverson has been coaching track and cross country at Naperville North High School for the last 28 years. He is also a social studies teacher and graduate of North Central College in Naperville, IL.
Mara Abbott is a retired professional cyclist and Olympian. She is a two-time winner of the women's Giro d'Italia, a two-time U.S. National Champion, and a six-time winner of the Tour of the Gila. She now lives in Buffalo, Wyoming, where she works for the environmental nonprofit, Ceres, and is the assistant coach for the high school girls' swim team.
Head Coach Eric Dettman (also known as Twin 2 in the Long Green Line) has successfully transitioned from dominant runner to successful coach. His successes at Lincoln aren't solely performance based. He makes a considerable effort to create a lifelong love of the sport, build a strong community while also supporting athletes to become the best version of themselves.
Ava Knap is a senior at St. Joseph Ogden High School. She is involved in NHS and is a FCA huddle leader. Ava is the founder of the Midwest Wildwood Running Club and is a passionate advocate for women’s health. Ava is the valedictorian for her class and is actively involved in cross country and track and field.
Mahesh Narayanan '97/M '05 will complete 22 years as Head Women's Cross Country Coach and Assistant Women's Track and Field Coach at North Central College in 2021-2022. He has guided the Cardinals to unprecedented success in cross country while earning multiple honors for his contributions to North Central's track and field success as the program's distance coach
